KCCA FC has promoted three youngsters from the KCCA FC Soccer Academy to the Senior Team.
Alex Yiga, Abubakar Mayanja and Anthony Emojong are the three youngsters who have been promoted to the senior team.
The trio has been rewarded with a five year employment each ahead of the 2023 -2024 season.
Yiga is an attacking midfielder who joined the KCCA FC Soccer Academy in 2022/23 season. In January 2023, he Yiga had a football assessment programs in Scotland and England.
He was also part of the KCCA FC U20 side that won the Cambiasso International Tournament in Daresalam, Tanzania, July 2022.
Yiga is also won bronze at the 2022 CECAFA U-17 football tournament with the Uganda Cubs (national U-17 team) in Ethiopia.
Mayanja joined KCCA FC Soccer Academy in 2022 ahead of the Cambiasso International Tournament in Daresalam, Tanzania.
During that tournament, he scored two goals in the opening game against Tanzania’s Ruvu Shooting FC U20 and a late winner in the final against Azam FC U20 at Chamazi Stadium.
He featured for KCCA FC U17 side and also had training stints with the KCCA FC senior side during the 2022/23 season.
Emojong is a talented goalkeeper and joined KCCA FC soccer academy in 2016. In 2023, he was loaned to FUFA Big League side, Lugazi FC and he helped them finish 5th at the end of the season. He featured in 16 games and kept 7 clean sheets and conceded 5 goals. He helped Lugazi FC pick 8 win and 6 draws during his stay at the club.
He played a vital role for Busiro as they beat Buddu 3-1 to clinched the 2022 Masaza Cup trophy at Wankulukuku Stadium
KCCA FC handed Former Kibuli Secondary School’s Juma Mutebi a five year employment contract. Teenager John Paul Dembe was also promoted from the KCCA FC reserve side to the senior team before being loaned to Swedish professional side Bollklubben Häcken, more commonly known as BK Häcken.
KCCA FC have already signed Brazilian duo of Joao Gabriel Esteves Cardoso and Michael Vinicius Silva De Morais. They also unveiled two Angolan natives who are Carlos Da Silva Cungulo and Aires Emilson Gonzaga.
