Nakibubo war memorial stadium has been announced as the new home for Uganda premier league club Express FC after ending a 33 year relationship with Wankulukuku Muteesa II stadium.
The club has revealed that their decision to leave Wankulukuku has been spurred by the desire to grow and reach new heights.
Express has enjoyed immense success at Wankulukuku having won seven league titles and 10 Uganda Cups while calling Wankulukuku their home.
This website understands that the stadium is about to undergo renovation and they may not host any league games in the upcoming season.
SC Villa the other occupants of Wankulukuku are also understood to have chosen to relocate to the revamped Nakivubo .
The Red Eagles last season finished in a dismal 12th position and will hope to rejuvenate while at a new home ground.
