BUL FC striker Alex Kitata agrees terms with Ethiopian club

Alex Kitata “Benzema” has agreed terms to join Ethiopia Premier League side Sehul Shire FC, Swift Sports understands.

Kitata is leaving BUL FC after one season having joined the Jinja based at the start of the season on a two year contract from BUL FC.

He scored 10 league goals and four assists in the 25 games he played and guided BUL FC to a second place finish on the league table.

Besides BUL FC, Kitata previously played for SC Villa, Kitara FC, The Saints, UPDF FC and had a stint in Rwanda with Kiyovu Sports.

Yasser Mugerwa and goalkeeper Brian Bwete Zigi are the other Ugandan players who have previously played for Sehul Shire.

Sehul Shire was among the Tigray based three clubs that were excluded from the Ethiopian Premier League in 2021 due to the civil in the Tigray region.

He is set to join other Ugandan players plying their trade in Ethiopia like Geoffrey Wasswa, Alionzi Nafian, Simon Peter Oketch, Allan Kayiwa and Charles Lukwago and Charles Musiige among others.
