Kitara‘s continental adventure ended in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 6-4 aggregate defeat to Al Hilal Benghazi.
Kitara suffered a 3-2 second leg loss just like it was in the first leg at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium on Friday night.
Mohamed Salim fired the Libyan side in the first half before Hemeya Tany’s second half brace.
Titus Ssematimba and Denis Omedi netted the two goals for Brian Ssenyondo coached side.
The Libyan side held on to their victory and cruise into the second preliminary round where they will meet Egypt’s Al Masry.
For Kitara, they will now turn focus on the domestic campaign that will officially kickoff in September.
