The 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup group stage has been held on Monday with holders Zamalek drawn in Group D while East African Giants Simba SC are in what has been dubbed as the group of death.
Zamalek will battle with Nigeria’s Enyimba, compatriots Al Masry and Black Bulls in the same group.
Group A has East African Giants Simba SC, CS Sfaxien from Tunisia, and Algerian powerhouses CS Constantine.
Simba is the home for Uganda Cranes striker Steven Mukwala who joined them in the previous transfer window from Ghana’s Asante Kotoko.
Group B has former winners RS Berkane from Morocco, Mali’s Stade Malien, CD Lundal Sul and debutants Stellenbosch of South Africa.
