Police FC returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Mbale Heroes FC at Kavumba on Wednesday.
The Simon Peter Mugerwa coached side came into this contest after a 2-1 defeat at Vipers SC.
Ben Ocen fired the Cops into the lead in the 23rd minute before Umar Kyebatala restored parity for Asaph Mwebaze coached side who remain winless since their 1-0 win over SC Villa.
Kyebatala’s goal could however turn into a consolation for Mbale Heroes when Isaac Ogwang struck for the hosts five minutes to regulation time.
Ogwang has now scored four league goals for Police FC this term.
Police FC are currently fourth placed with 10 points they have garnered in seven matches while Mbale Heroes are second from the bottom with four points.
Mugerwa’s men will next face NEC FC who were stunned by Lugazi FC in the other game played on Wednesday.
