Tanzania’s Young Africans express interest in signing Uganda Cranes striker

Tanzanian champions Young Africans (Yanga) are in advanced talks to sign Uganda Cranes striker Fahad Bayo, Swift Sports understands.

Yanga want to strengthen their attacking force in the upcoming mid season transfer window which officially opens on 15th December in Tanzania.

Bayo is currently unattached after his contract with Czech Republic second tier side MFK Vyskov expired at the end of the previous season.

According to Sports Arena Tanzania, Bayo is regarded as Yanga’s top priority in the upcoming window in a bid to get strengthen the squad for the most competitive part of the season.

 

The Yanga hierarchy believes Bayo boasts of the required experience having previously featured for Ashdod FC and Bnei Sakhnin in Israel, Vipers and Proline in Uganda and Zambia’s Buildcon.

He has featured for the Uganda Cranes on 21 occasions and scored eight goals and one assist in the process.

In case the talks materialize, Bayo will join midfielder Khalid Aucho as the other Uganda Cranes player playing for the Tanzania Premier League giants.

Yanga are expected to settle their contractual dispute with Ghanaian forward Augustine Okrah after receiving a transfer ban from FIFA.
