The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has granted both Uganda and Burundi to host their African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 Qualifier matches at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
The two nations will lock horns in the two-legged contest with Burundi hosting the first leg on 26th December 2024.
Uganda will then host Burundi at the same venue three days later (29th December 2024) with both games due to kickoff at 6:00pm
Meanwhile, CAF has also limited to the number of fans to watch both games to 7,000 only.
Uganda has already sealed a place at the 2024 CAF tournament as co-host alongside Tanzania and Kenya but the team will use these matches for preparations.
Burundi and other teams in the region will be seeking to take up the only extra slot allocated to CECAFA region through the qualifying rounds.
The final tournament is slated to kickoff on 1st February and climax on 21st of the same month in 2025.
