Six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC thrashed Mbale Heroes 4-0 on Friday in Mbale Municipal Stadium to reclaim top spot.
After last weekend’s draw at home with BUL FC, the Kitende based side thrilled at Mbale with a comprehensive victory.
Milton Karisa and Allan Okello scored braces each as the Venoms finished 2024 top of the league standings.
The traveling Vipers faithfuls echoed Okello’s name around the ground as the visitors cruised to a resounding triumph over Asaph Mwebaze’s Mbale Heroes.

Karisa opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Okello doubled the visitors advantage in the 46th minute.
Okello completed his brace in the 74th minute, a goal that takes him top of the scorers charts this term with 10 goals.
His skipper Karisa also struck his second of the day two minutes later to increase his tally for the campaign to 7 goals.
The Venoms are now top of the standings with 28 points in 13 games and also extend their unbeaten run since they lost to NEC FC in their opening match to 12 matches.
Mbale Heroes on the other remain in the Red zone with nine points after 13 games.
