The outstanding performers for the Fortebet Real Stars Awards for the month of December have been awarded by the organisers on Tuesday at Lazio Restaurant in Lugogo.
The winners for the month of December came from Boxing, Netball and Football.
Uganda Cubs striker James Bogere was named as the best in football beating Vipers SC Allan Okello and Kitara FC’s Jude Semugabi.
Bogere who also features for El-Cambio scored seven goals to finish as the Top Scorer at the CECAFA region U-17 Qualifiers.
His goals helped Uganda secure a place in the 2025 AFCON U-17 Final tournament due in Morocco.
She Cranes Centre Margaret Baagala won the Netball accolade beating Mary Nuba and youngster Gloria Aya to December’s Best.
Baagala played a vital role as She Cranes finished second-place at the Netball Africa Cup in Namibia.
At the same tournament, she was crowned as the best mid-court player.
In Boxing, Nuuhu Batte beat Owen Kibira and Ezra Ssali to the accolade.
He was a deserved winner following his dominant performance in the 67kg welterweight category in the UBF Champions League.
Batte defeated his captain Ukasha to be crowned champion of the year and also won all five bouts in the championship.
It should be remembered that he also won the Uganda Open.
