Uganda Premier league side Mbarara City FC have completed the signing of midfielder Ibrahim Kazindula.

Kazindula was set to join Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) in the previous transfer window but the move fell through.

Swift Sports Uganda can reliably confirm that the midfielder has completed a move to the Ankole Lions after missing the first round of the season following his failed transfer to URA FC.

Kazindula is a former Jinja Secondary School student and has previously featured for Busoga United FC, Kyetume FC, Horseed FC in Somalia and BUL FC.
At BUL FC, Kazindula won the 2022 Stanbic Uganda Cup and the 2023 Pilsner Super 8 trophies.

Meanwhile, his new club Mbarara City have petitioned FUFA over KCCA FC’s fielding Gavin Kizito Mugweri who was ineligible to feature in their 2-0 defeat on Tuesday at Kakyeka Stadium. According to the Ankole Lions, Gavin was to miss the game through suspension due to card accumulation.

The Ankole Lions FC finished the first round in 13th position on the Uganda Premier league table with 14 points, two above the drop zone.
