Vipers SC cruised to a 2- victory over URA FC at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Tuesday night.
Allan Okello and Enock Luyima second half goals were enough to see the Venoms complete a double over the tax collectors.
Okello gave the host the lead at the hour mark from the spot after second half substitute Kenneth Kimera had been fouled in the forbidden area.
With 15 minutes to regulation time, left back Luyima put the seal on maximum points with a sensational strike.
Vipers could have scored more but URA FC goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa denied them on numerous occasions.
January signing Isaac Ogwanga limped off on his Vipers debut at end of the first period
Victory saw the Venoms extend their lead to the top of the Uganda Premier league to 37 points, four above second placed NEC FC who play KCCA FC on Thursday.
URA FC who remain on 24 points will next host Maroons FC on Saturday while Vipers SC will travel to KCCA FC on Sunday.
