Lugazi FC will target a second consecutive win of the second round when they host relegation candidate Wakiso Giants at Lugazi FC Stadium.
Stephen Bogere’s men defeated Police FC 1-0 in their previous game, Abdul Kalanzi scored the games only goal from the spot.
Wakiso Giants played to a one all draw with SC Villa, Hudson Mbalire was on target for the Purple Sharks in that game.
The reverse fixture at Kabaka Kyabaggu ended in a goalless draw.
Lugazi FC occupy the 12th position with 17 points and victory will see them enlight their survival hopes,
Lugazi FC’s assistant coach Gerald Efeti is confident of victory,
“The players are in good shape and more than ready to give the best good enough we are only missing out Rodgers Atube who sustained an injury in our previous game.”
Tonny Mawejje the assistant coach believes depending on their last three ties there is a great improvement so he expects positives only,
“Looking on the trainings the boys show positiveness and the Villa game gave us hope so we believe we are getting all the three points.”
“Lugazi isn’t an easy side to penetrate in that they conceded less goals but we have worked on our strikers more so in the final third we expect the best.”
Wakiso Giants will miss Alex Komakech, Marvin Oshaba, Isaac Mtengwa, Tom Masiko, Josephat Ayebare, Abdul Semakula and Herbert Asiimwe due to injuries.
