Derrick Nsibambi netted a brace es KCCA FC progressed to the last 16 with a 2-1 win over Kuluva Rainbow on Tuesday at the Hospital View Arena.
Nsibambi scored two quick goals to give the visitors the lead in the opening seven minutes of the game.
Nsibambi fired the visitors into the lead in the second minute of the game heading home a Saidi Mayanja perfect cross.
Nsibambi doubled KCCA’s advantage in the 7th minute of the game with another header off a Mayanja cross.
In the second period, Brian Kubo found a consolation for the home side in the 70th minute.
KCCA FC who have the competition a record ten times held on and reached the last 16.
Blacks Power, URA, UPDF, Gaddafi, Kataka, SC Villa, Rwenzori Lions, Total, BUL FC, Kaaro Karungi, Vipers, Lugazi, Police and holders Kitara are the other teams in the last 16.
Meanwhile, Maroons will host Wakiso Giants at Luzira in an all Uganda Premier league contest to determine the final team to complete the last 16.
