Vipers visit Police in search of 7th successive win

Vipers SC will be seeking to extend their winning streak as they visit Police FC at Kavumba at 4pm.

The Venoms currently lead the Uganda Premier League table with 43 points, three more than second placed NEC FC.

Vipers have won all their most recent six league games and have kept six clean sheets in the process.

The Venoms beat Mbarara City 1-0 thanks to Allan Okello’s 14th goal of the season, in their most recent game.

Police who are 12th on the table with 20 points, drew 1-1 with bottom placed Mbale Heroes in their recent game in Mbale.

Team News

Vipers welcome back defender Hillary Mukundane who missed the game against Mbarara due to accumulation of yellow cards.

Forwards Isaac Ogwang and Milton Karisa are still sidelined by respectively injuries.

Police will negotiate the contest without midfielder Augustine Kacancu who is out injured.

Ibrahim Ssengoba, Adewale Bojo and Kevin Obua are expected to return to the match day squad having missed the trip to Mbale last week.

Vipers have a superior head to head record over the Cops having won 18 of the 26 meetings between both sides.

Police have only recorded five wins over Vipers with the latest dating back in October 2017, a 2-1 during the 2017/18 season.
