Wakiso Hill Women Football Club became the first club to be relegated from the Finance Trust Bank Women Super League this season.
The relegation follows abysmal performances by the club that also leaves them as the only side yet to win a game this term, with three games left.
Their relegation was confirmed by a 3-0 defeat to She Corporate at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Saturday.
Striker Jessica Namanda scored a hat trick to inspire She Corporate to a commanding victory and subsequently took her tally to 10 goals, one shy of the league’s leading scorer Resty Kobusobozi.
Wakiso Hill sit bottom on the Women’s Super League table with only five points from the 19 games played, scoring only five goals and conceding 39.
The club, affiliated to UPL giants Vipers SC, earned promotion to the topflight in 2023 and has inevitably failed to live to the lofty demanding standards of the Super League.
