Promotion to the 2025/25 Uganda Premier league will be determined on the final day of the 2024/25 FUFA Big League.
Leaders Buhimba United Saints, Calvary FC and Gaddafi FC all failed to meet their targets on match day 29 thus taking promotion to the wire.
Buhimba United Saints needed at least a draw to secure promotion but suffered a 4-3 home defeat to Kigezi Homeboyz.
Charles Waibi and Joseph Seremba each scored a brace for Kigezi Home Boyz while John Wesley Kisakye, Derrick Byabachwezi and Davis Kakaire got the goals for Buhimba in a seven goal thriller at Kigaaya primary playground on Sunday.
At Entebbe Works Playground, Gaddafi FC needed victory against Blacks Power to get promoted but were held to a goalless stalemate.
The stalemate kept Blacks Power in contention for promotion heading into the final day despite finishing a man less after Paul Oonyu’s red card.
Meanwhile, second placed Calvary were held to a goalless stalemate by Onduparaka FC at greenlight Stadium.
Calvary are now level on points with Buhimba United Saints, both on 49 points while Gaddafi are on 47 while Blacks Power remains fourth on 46 points.
Final Day Matches to determine promotion and relegation will all be played on Saturday, 21st June 2025.
Already relegated Booma will host Arua Hill (29 points) at the Masindi stadium.
Blacks Power will entertain Busoga at the PTC playground in Lira city in a game that will determine the latter’s promotion status.
Kataka will host promotion seeking Gaddafi FC at the Mbale city stadium while second placed Calvary lock horns with Paidha Black Angels at the Midigo primary school in Yumbe during the West Nile derby.
Kaaro Karungi will entertain Ntugasaze at Kyamate stadium in Ntungamo
Kigezi Home Boyz takes on MYDA at the Kigezi Homeboyz Al stadium in Kbale.
Kiyinda Boys will face Buhimba United Saints at Bertham City ground, Kiwenda.
