Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League side Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC have expressed their interest in signing striker Latifah Nakasi.
The Uganda Martyrs captain ranks highly as one of the prolific strikers in the Women’s League.
Kawempe Muslim’s interest is reignited after their failure to sign Nakasi at the start of the previous season.
Nakasi was also a transfer target of the league’s big spenders Kampala Queens last year but their pursuit emerged unsuccessful as well.
Nakasi recently emerged as the top scorer of the FUFA Women Cup with eight goals but also scored 10 goals in the league.
Kawempe Muslim recently signed a partnership with Vipers SC and subsequently became the official female team of the reigning Uganda Premier League champions.
The Ayub Khalifa coached side failed to defend their FUFA Women Super League title last season after finishing second behind the eventual champions Kampala Queens.
