Ali Mwebe who has been serving as the Director of Football Development at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations has been appointed as the FIFA Regional Technical Consultant East and Central Africa.

The new appointment means Mwebe will leave FUFA where he has been working as the Football Development Director since 2018.

He also previously served as the FUFA competitions Director before taking on the Football Development Director role at the federation.

Mwebe has a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management at Leipzig University in Germany. He is also a Confederation of African Football (CAF) Beach soccer instructor and holds a Sports science graduate from Kyambogo University.

For starters, the regional technical consultants (RTCs) are the member associations’ first point of contact for all technical development matters (except for the Talent Development Scheme, in the event that another expert is appointed to assist your MA for the programme).

Mwebe will be in contact with MA’s technical director and their department to support them in a tailored way according to their needs and requirements.
