KCCA FC co-coach Brian Ssenyondo has sent an important first message to his players upon meeting some of them at the club’s training at Lugogo.

The Kasasiro boys recently swooped to hire Ssenyondo as co-coach along with Jackson Kaddu Magera who served as interim coach after sacking previous head coach Abdallah Mubiru.

Ssenyondo told his players they have a legacy to uphold in one of his first talks with the group that began pre-season training on Monday while others are on international duty due to the delayed CHAN in East Africa.

“The hard work starts now. We have a legacy to uphold, and with your sacrifice, hard work, and dedication, we will restore KCCA to its rightful place. We will do this together. ” Said Ssenyondo as quoted by KCCA FC website

It was always going to be difficult to move on from a legendary figure like Mike Hillary Mutebi, but one also feels the 13-time Uganda Premier league champions have made more than a few mistakes since then.

The Lugogo faithfuls will hope co-coaches Ssenyondo and Magera appointments proves the right choice for the club that has gone trophyless for six years.

KCCA FC’s 2025/2026 pre-season is expected to run from the 28th of July until the start of the Uganda Premier League, which is scheduled for late September 2025.
