Kitara FC have completed the signing of defensive midfielder Amir Zake Kakomo, Swift Sports understands.

Kakomo joins Kitara on a two year contract and subsequently reunites with Wasswa Bbosa who was his coach at Gaddafi FC and Mbarara City.

The combative midfielder last played for NEC FC in the opening half of the previous season.

Kakomo is expected to be an integral part in the club’s rebuilding process that has endured a massive exodus of players as free agents.

His ball winning ability and neat short and long passing touts him as Wasswa Bbosa preferred choice for the defensive midfield role.

Kakomo notably featured for SC Villa for three years between 2018 and 2021 before joining Gaddafi FC.

Kitara have had striker Patrick Henry Kaddu sign a new two year contract that will extend his stay until 2027.
