The organisers of the monthly Fortebet Real Stars Awards have named the winners for the month of July at the ceremony held Lazio Restaurant on Tuesday.
Yusuf Kyeyune alias Chuni a former footballer and administrator clinched the Lifetime Achievers award for his services towards the game of football.
Kyeyune, who featured for teams such as City Cubs, Wandegeya, Cooperative, and Express before serving as a technical director at SC Villa thanked the organisers for the accolade.
“This is a special award to me and I take this opportunity to thank the sponsors for the recognition.” I have served the game of football for over 40 years and I am humbled to have been rewarded with this award.” Said Chuni.
Meanwhile, Frank Kiwalabye walked away with the boxing gong following his triumph over Tanzania’s Karim Kisairo.
Kiwalabye won the WBU World Super Bantamweight Title at Club Obligato last month in Kampala.
Kiwalabye beat Aziz Rigo and Olympian Catherine Nanziri to the boxing gong.
The Rally team of Ponsiano Lwakataka and Paul Musaazi who won the Bwera-Bistro Masaka Challenge Rally to remain in contention for the National Rally Championship was also rewarded with the Motorsport award.
They defeated Hassan Alwi and Musa Nsubuga (Ford Fiesta Proto) and Ronald Ssebuguzi and Anthony Ssebuguzi (also driving Ford Fiesta Proto).
The monthly awards are sponsored by Fortebet and Jude Color Solutions with thr winners walking away with accolades and cash prizes.
