The 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup resumed on Sunday with five matches across the three groups.
Defending champions Buddy suffered a 2-0 defeat to Buluuli in their Bulange group contest at Kitovu Sports Arena on Sunday.
Peter Ssemyalo’s double was enough to inspire Buluuli to maximum points.
Buluuli also beat Buddu 1-0 in the first round meeting.
In the same group, Gomba prevailed to their maiden 2025 Masaza Cup with a 2-0 victory over Busiro at Kabulasoke.
Robert Ssewanyana and Murushid Kiyingi struck the two goals for the record Masaza Cup champions.
Gomba finished the first round winless and needed victory to keep their knockout chances alive.
Busujju overcame Ssese 2-1 in the other game in Bulange group with Lauben Lubwama scoring the two goals for Busujju.
Andrew Mukasa netted Ssese’s only goal of the game at Kakindu.
In Masengere group, Buweekula edged Bulemeezi 1-0, thanks to Shafik Ssonko only goal of the match.
Buweekula need just a point in their remaining matches to seal place in the knockout stage.
On Saturday, Kyaddondo and Mawokota played to a goalless draw at Nakivubo Stadium.
Buvuma and Bugerere shared spoils in a 1-1 draw in the other Masengere group game.
In Muganzirwazza group, Ssingo prevailed to their second win of the campaign with a narrow win over Mawogola. Isa Ochama own goal was enough to hand Ssingo maximum points in Mityana.
Kabula and Kyaggwe shared spoils in a 1-1 stalemate on Saturday whereas the contest between Butambala and Kkooki ended goalless.
