Groups for 13th edition of Pepsi University Football League
Group A: Uganda Martyrs University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Mountains of the Moon University, University of Kisubi, Kampala International University, Kampala University.
Group B: Kabale University, Bishop Stuart University, Muteesa I Royal University, Bugema University, Africa Renewal University, International University of East Africa.
Group C: Nkumba University, Busitema University, Soroti University, YMCA, ISBAT University, Kyambogo University.
Group D: St. Lawrence University, Muni University, Lira University, Gulu University, Makerere University Business School.
Group E: Islamic University in Uganda, Kumi University, Makerere University, Uganda Christian University, Ndejje University, King Censor University.
The Group stage of the 13th edition of the prestigious Pepsi University Football league has been held on Thursday, 18th September, 2025.
According to the organisers this time group stage games will be played on a single leg basis unlike in the previous editions where teams played each other home and away.
From the quarterfinals onwards, the Pepsi University Football league will continue to follow its previous format, with a series of two-legged knockout games culminating in the final due next year.
Kyambogo University returns to the tournament after serving a two year suspension due to hooliganism.
King Censor University (Ggaba Road), Africa Renewal University (Buloba), Soroti University, Lira University, and Mountains of the Moon University are the five new entrants in the competition.
Action is slated to kickoff on 25th September at Nakivubo Stadium with reigning champions Uganda Martyrs awaiting a team in the group for the opener.
Defending champions Uganda Martyrs University have been drawn in Group A along with Kampala University, Mountains of the Moon University, University of Kisubi, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Kampala International University (KIU).
Group B has Kabale University, Bishop Stuart University, Muteesa I Royal University, Bugema University, Africa Renewal University, International University of East Africa while Group C comprises Nkumba University, Busitema University, Soroti University, YMCA, ISBAT University, Kyambogo University.
St. Lawrence University, Muni University, Lira University, Gulu University, Makerere University Business School are in Group D.
Group E has Islamic University in Uganda, Kumi University, Makerere University, Uganda Christian University, Ndejje University, King Censor University.
