SC Villa technical director Moses Basena has left his role after just two months at the club.
Basena officially started at SC Villa on 21st July, 2025 and his exit was finalised on Saturday, 20th September.
A statement from the record Uganda Premier League champions said;
“The Club Management of SC Villa informs the Club fans and public that Mr. Moses Basena who has been acting as the Club’s Technical Director has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect. The Club thanks Mr. Basena for his services thus far and wishes him the best in his future endeavours.” Read the statement
Basena has previously had coaching stints at Sunrise FC in Rwanda, URA FC, Simba SC, KCCA FC, UPDF FC, Tanzanian side Ihefu SC and also at SC Villa as well.
He also worked as Uganda Cranes assistant coach during Milutin Sredojevic Micho’s reign.
SC Villa are under the stewardship of Serbian tactician Zeljko Kovacevic who replaced Morley Byekwaso after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign.
