Buhimba Saints United FC defeated fellow debutants Calvary FC 2-0 this morning in a rescheduled game played at Royal Park Butema in Hoima.
The game was abandoned yesterday following a very heavy down pour, leading to an unplayable playing surface.
Mustafa Anwar Ntege and Swadick Maro’s first half goals helped Buhimba Saints United FC walk away with all three points.
Victory is the second for the Hoima based side, they defeated Entebbe UPPC FC 1-0 in Bugonga in their league opener.
Jimmy Kintu’s Calvary FC will have to wait a bit longer for their maiden UPL victory.
Calvary FC lost their first game in UPL 3-1 to Lugazi FC at Lugazi FC Stadium Najjembe.
Buhimba Saints United FC will face off with Kitara FC in their next game in the Bunyoro derby on Thursday, 16th October, at Butema.
Calvary FC will play Maroons FC next Thursday, 22nd October at Luzira Prisons grounds.
