Buweekula defied all the odds during their semifinal second leg Masaza Cup final contest away to Kyaggwe on Sunday.
With Kyaggwe leading 1-0 courtesy of their first leg win in Mubende many thought last year’s losing finalists were on course for another final.
Buweekula however staged up a fight in the return and their hard work paid off when Ssemanda Colline netted the only goal two minutes into the second half at Bishops SS Ground in Mukono to level the tie on aggregate.
The epic contest was to be settled via a shootout as Buweekula advanced 4-3 on penalties to reach their third final in history.
They will face their greater Wamala neighbors Ssingo in the final scheduled at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo on 1st November.
Previously Buweekula have played two finals in 2012 when they lost to Bulemeezi at the venue for this year’s final and 2021 when Buddu beat them in the final that was held at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
Kyaggwe will play Bugerere for third place honours on the same at the climax of the 2025 edition of the prestigious Buganda Kingdom organized competition
