Kyaggwe Ssaza team management committee has filed a petition to the Masaza Cup organizing committee over Buweekula player documentation after their elimination of the competition.
In a letter signed by Kyaggwe management committee Secretary Fred Mpanga, Buweekula player Ssonko Shafik who was wearing shirt 9 used wrong documents during his registration to participate in the 2025 Masaza Cup tournament.
According to Kyaggwe, Buweekula registered Ssonko using NIN number CM1004710K8X6H which is in the name of Ssonko Shafrick.
The registered NIN number shows that the person (Ssonko Shafrick) is below the age of 16 having been born on 4th, January 2010 and as per the rules that govern the prestigious Buganda Kingdom organized even, no player below the age of 16 is allowed to take part in the event.
Kyaggwe had been eliminated by Buweekula during the semifinal return leg at Bishops SS Ground in Mukono on penalties 4-3 after a 1-1 aggregate stalemate over two legs.
This year’s Masaza Cup final is scheduled for 1st November, 2025 at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo. Ssingo who eliminated Bugerere in the other semifinal are eyeing their third Masaza cup crown.
