Kiyovu Sports 0-0 APR FC
Ronald Ssekiganda was sent off in the 81st minute as APR FC were held to a disappointing goalless draw by Kiyovu Sports in the Rwanda Premier League.
Ssekiganda was sent for an early shower after referee Patience Ruliisa showed him a second yellow for a foul on Kiyovu’s Rukundo Abdul Rahman.
Consequently, APR have filed a complaint on the referee and the two yellow cards Ssekiganda received on the day.
Furthermore, the Rwanda Premier League champions have also filed a complaint on the referee’s decision of not awarding them a penalty for a foul on Denis Omedi in the box.
Ssekiganda’s red card comes a week after the Uganda Cranes midfielder scored the winning goal for APR against Mukura Victory.
APR have also apologized to their fans for an unconvincing performance against Kiyovu and promised a better response in their subsequent games.
APR currently sit 4th with seven points from three games and will play against Rutsiro FC in their next game.
