The organizers of the Finance Trust Bank monthly awards in the FUFA Women Super League have on Tuesday named the best of October at the Finance Trust Bank headquarters, Twed Plaza.
Kampala Queens striker Kamiyat Naigaga and She Corporate head coach Ininahazwe Belyse were crowned as the best player and coach of the month of October, respectively.
Ininahazwe beat competition from Kawempe Muslim Ladies head coach Ayub Khalifah and Kampala Queens’ tactician Asefa Firew Haile Gabreal to clinch the award.
In October, Ininahazwe guided She Corporate to three wins and one draw in four matches, taking her side to the top of the table with ten points.
To clinch the player of the month gong, Naigaga beat She Corporate duo Jesca Namanda and Molly Naava.
The Kampala Queens forward scored five goals in four games during October, helping her side to two wins and two draws to remain in contention for the title this campaign.
The monthly winners are rewarded with a winners plaque and cash prize worth UGX 500,000 each courtesy of the league’s sponsors Finance Trust Bank.
