SC Villa missed a chance to go top of the Uganda Premier League after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Maroons FC on Saturday at Luzira.
Ivan Mayanja scored the all important goal as the Prison Warders overcame the record league champions.
Mayanja gave the home side an early lead finishing off Baden Mujahid’s quality cross.
During the contest SC Villa defender Geoffrey Lubangakene and Maroons FC goalkeeper Simon Tamale were sent off for unsporting behaviour in the 39th minute.
Maroons held on to their slim lead to clinch maximum points over the Jogoos and are now 12 points.
SC Villa on the other hand suffered their second defeat of the season and their first since losing 2-1 to KCCA FC in October this year.
They remain in the top three with the same number of points as KCCA FC and Vipers SC, all on 17 points.
