KCCA seek to restore three-point lead as NEC visits in Lugogo Derby

KCCA FC will be aiming at reopening a three-point gap when host NEC FC in the Lugogo derby under the lights of MTN Omondi Stadium on Friday.

KCCA FC come into this contest after a 2-1 comeback win over BUL FC in their previous game.

NEC on the other hand drew with Vipers in a 1-1 stalemate at Lugogo last Friday.

KCCA FC are currently top of the table with 20 points same as second placed SC Villa. Victory against NEC will see the Brian Ssenyondo and Jackson Magera co-coached side move re-establish a three point gap.

NEC are ninth on the table with 11 points they have garnered so far this term.

KCCA will again be without their top scorer Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Shafik Nana Kwikiriza and captain Charles Lukwago.

NEC are managed by former KCCA coach who served with Mike Mutebi at the 13-time league champions.

He could name ex-KCCA players Muzamir Mutyaba, Paul Mucureezi and Mustafa Kizza.

KCCA has managed just one win against NEC FC in the four league meetings they played against each other. NEC has won three, including a double over the Kasasiro boys last season.
