Usama Arafat continued to shine as Vipers SC beat Lugazi 2-1 on Wednesday at Najjembe.
The Venoms needed goals from Usama Arafat and Yunus Sentamu to overcome Lugazi.
Usama fired the visitors into the lead from a rebound for his third goal of the season.
Sentamu doubled Vipers’ lead 15 minutes to regulation time looping goalkeeper Juma Mutebi.
Mulindi pulled one back for the home side in the 89th minute of the game but his goal could only turn into a consolation.
Vipers move to 24 points two below leaders KCCA FC who have played a game more. They are also the only unbeaten side in the league so far this season.
Lugazi is the relegation zone with 10 points in 11 games. They have gone five games without victory.
