Express FC have acquired the services of striker Kenneth Kimera on loan from Vipers SC, Swift Sports understands.
Kimera, who has only featured twice in the league season, is expected to earn sufficient playing time at Express FC.
Kimera rose to the UPL scene with Wakiso Giants in the 2023/24 season before moving to Vipers at the start of the previous season but has found playing time hard to come his way.
His only involvements in the league this season have been against BUL FC and Lugazi FC where he was brought off the bench in the final six minutes.
Overall, Kimera has played in a total of 20 league games since joining Vipers, scoring twice and getting one assist.
Kimera’s acquisition comes soon after Express failed to acquire striker Nelson Senkatuka from URA FC.
The club has been in search of a striker following the departure of Muhammad Ssenoga Kagawa and Richard Basangwa who were integral in the team’s offensive department.
Kimera becomes the 8th signing acquired by the Red Eagles in the mid-season transfer window.
Others are Shafik Lugolobi, Marvin Praise Wambuga, James Ssemambo, Marvin Nyanzi, Gift Ali Abubaker, Blanchar Mulamba and Amos Muwonge.
Express who sit 11th on the league table with 18 points, will host Maroons FC on Wednesday 4th March at Nakivubo in their next game.
