Kaaro Karungi stunned Soltilo Bright Stars 1-0 in the FUFA Big League encounter at the Luzira Prisons Grounds on Sunday.
Substitute Nazil Ssekaga scored a brilliant free kick to clinch the crucial victory for Kaaro Karungi who are engulfed in a hardened relegation battle.
The victory was the first under coach Joseph Kigobe who also earned a 1-1 draw against promotion hopefuls Kigezi Homeboyz a week ago.
The crucial win took Kaaro Karungi to 18 points despite remaining in the relegation zone as they sit 13th on the table.
Kaaro Karungi will host Young Elephant Academy in their subsequent Big League fixture on 8th March at the Kyamate Grounds.
Soltilo Bright Stars who sit 8th on the table with 25 points, will visit Bunyaruguru United in the next game in Kasese on the same day.
