Express FC will be seeking to return to winning ways following their Stanbic Uganda Cup exit when they host Police FC in the league contest on Wednesday night.
The Cops make a short trip to Nakivubo without six key players who are out due to respective injuries and suspension.
The Matia Lule coached side will miss the services of Ryan Kizito Figo, Ivan Eyamu, Tonny Kiwalazi, Otto Daniel, Derrick Maviiri and suspended Stephen Namaisi.
Experienced striker Umaru Kasumba is also a major doubt for the game against the Red Eagles. The good news is the return of Jemba Ramsey from injury.
The hosts will be without Lawrence Bukenya and experienced midfielder Gift Ali who are out due to injuries.
Express won their previous league game before with a 3-1 win over URA FC while Police lost 1-0 to NEC FC.
The Cops are aiming for their first league double over Express since the 2017/18 season. They won the first round meeting over Express with a 2-1 victory.
Thanks to goals from Bedia Ikamba and Umaru Kasumba, while Muhammad Senoga Kagawa scored for Express at the time before he joined NEC in the mid-season transfer window.
