Edition IV of the Katabaro memorial tournament launched
The fourth edition of the Katabaro Memorial tournament has officially been launched at the Uganda Clays grounds Kajjansi.
The tournament is expected to kick off on Sunday 23rd August at Uganda Clays grounds.
John Baptist Lwebuga the chairman of the organising committee assured the manager how ready they are to deliver the best tournament,
“I appreciate all the team managers for bringing their teams to once again to take part in the fourth edition. As the Chairperson, I promise you we are going to do all it takes to give the best tournament”
28 teams confirmed participation in this year’s edition as confirmed by the tournament’s CEO Kasozi Sharif,
“Already 28 teams have confirmed participation in this year’s edition, we are very aware of the challenges faced in the previous one we are to make sure we avoid them.”
Doctor Big Sam Kisakye the main sponsor called upon more partners to come on board,
“We appreciate Uganda Clays our partners that always provide the field this tournament is ours let’s join to give out the best we have always seen such fields produce the best talents who can return and help the community.”
“We also plan to appreciate the heroes of the community we know very many people have done for the society but have never been noticed and rewarded the time is now to do so.”
Star Hearts Sports Academy and Kitende Select will play the opener.
For starters Katabaro Memorial tournament was named after the late educationists Rev.Joseph Katabaro and wife Christine Katabaro the founders of Kawotto Saviours Primary School who worked hard towards the development of education in the community.
