Express confirms departure of nine players

Express FC have confirmed the departure of nine squad players ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 season.
The nine include midfielder John Asiimwe who has already joined rivals SC Villa on an undisclosed contract length.
Others are; Blanchar Mulamba, Sharif Lubega, Elvis Ssekajugo, Mikidad Ssenyonga, Marvin Praise Wambuga, Marvin Nyanzi, Ismael Ali and goalkeeper Hafiz Kassim.
Wambuga, Ssekajugo, Ssenyonga and Nyanzi have all joined URA FC in a reunion with their former coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera.
Blanchar Mulamba has also joined Gardener Webb University in the United States of America.
The club will also start life without goalkeeper Hafiz Kassim who declined from signing a new contract and has strongly been linked to URA FC.
Express has had massive movements as far as recruitment of new players is concerned in this ongoing transfer window.
The Red Eagles under the tutelage of coach Morley Byekwaso will have a blend of the experienced and new blood as the team embarks on a rebuilding process.
