Kampala Queens have confirmed the departure of midfielder Shamsa Najjuma following the expiry of her contract.
Najjuma joined Kampala Queens at the start of the 2024/25 Women Super League season on a two year contract from Uganda Martyrs Lubaga.
The versatile midfielder leaves The KQ Palace with one Women Super League title and one Uganda Cup.
Najjuma’s departure inches her closer to a transfer to the newly promoted Women Super League side URA Ladies FC.
URA FC Ladies are expected to be one of the busiest sides in the transfer market with a main objective of reinforces their squad to compete in their debut season.
Najjuma becomes the second player to leave Kampala Queens after Catherine Nagadya who joined Egyptian side Al Ahly.
