Vipers’ Walusimbi set for European Move

Abubakali Walusimbi is expected to join Czech Republic side SK Slavia Praha in this transfer window.
According to NBS Sport, the former Uganda Cubs midfielder will leave the eight time league champions Vipers SC to secure a move to Slavia Praha.
Walusimbi played a vital role for the Uganda Cubs during their historic U-17 World Cup Qualification campaign last year.
In the final tournament held in Qatar, Walusimbi helped the World Cup first timers go past Senegal in the round of 32 before being eliminated by West African side Burkina Faso at the round of 16 stage.
Walusimbi has also represented the country from the U15 level and won two league titles at Vipers as well as an Uganda Cup trophy.
He was named as the Most Valuable Player as Uganda Cubs triumphed at the 2024 Afcon U-17 qualifiers (Cecafa zone) held at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
Slavia Praha was founded in 1892 as a literary and cycling club, they are the second most successful club in the Czech Republic since its independence in 1993. They host their games at Fortuna Arena which has a capacity of 19,370.
