FUFA confirms Dates, Venues for FUFA Drum 2025 Semifinals

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Competitions Department has confirmed the fixtures, dates and venues for the FUFA Drum 2025 semifinal stage.
In a circular released on 19th September 2026, the first leg matches will be played on the weekend of September 26-27, with the return legs a week later on October 3-4.
First Leg Fixtures:
•Saturday, 26 Sept 2026:
•Lango vs Bunyoro – Dokolo Technical Institute, Dokolo District – 4:00PM
•Sunday, 27 Sept 2026:
– Acholi vs Buganda – Booma Grounds, Kitgum District – 4:00PM
Return Leg Fixtures:
•Saturday, 3 Oct 2026: Bunyoro vs Lango – TBC – 4:00PM
•Sunday, 4 Oct 2026:
– Buganda vs Acholi – Lugazi, Buikwe District – 4:00PM
In the semifinals, inaugural winners Buganda will battle with Acholi while reigning champions Lango are to lock horns with Bunyoro.
How they reached final four
Bunyoro Province confirmed their place in the last four with a narrow 1-0 aggregate victory over West Nile Province.
Acholi Province progressed after overcoming Busoga Province in a dramatic penalty shootout. The two sides played to a 1-1 draw in the second leg, with Isaac Wagoina scoring for Busoga and Emmanuel Ojok finding the net for Acholi. The aggregate score stood at 2-2, forcing penalties where Acholi triumphed 3-1 to advance.
Buganda Province advanced on the away goals rule after a 1-1 draw against Tooro Province in the return leg while defending cup winners Lango Province kept their title defence on course after edging Teso Province 1-0 in the second leg.
The tournament, sponsored by MTN and Nivana and held under the theme “Celebrating Our Ancestry,” is now at the semifinal stage with four strong provinces battling for a place in the final.
