Former St.Mary’s Kitende left back Robert Kitabalwa is elated with his move to Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC.
Kitabalwa joined the army side from South Sudanese outfit Kator FC at the start of this season.
“I’m really happy to be here and I believe this will be a great journey,” Kitabalwa said.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity. It’s a very emotional moment for me to return to Uganda and play in the Uganda Premier League.” Said Kitabalwa
Journey Back Home
Kitabalwa won two University Football League titles with Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi, and spent one season with Kator FC in South Sudan.
The left back has also featured for Bunyaruguru United Football Club in the Regional League, helping them attain FUFA Big League status for the 2025/26 season.
Kitabalwa is a graduate of St. Mary’s Kitende, where he captained the school team and won numerous national and East African titles before joining the Vipers Junior team.
