Workaholic midfielder Norman Odipio has completed a move to Libya Premier League club Al Bashayer Misrata SC from Ugandan side Maroons FC.
Odipio is a Maroons Academy graduate who was promoted to the Maroons Senior Team in October 2021 and spent five good years on the club’s books.
His work rate, relentless ball winning ability and progressive passing are some of the playing attributes that lured the Al Bashayer’s interest to land his signature.
Odipio will be the third Ugandan in the Libyan Premier League this season after striker Steven Mukwala and defender Richard Juuko Kassaga.
Mukwala plays for last season’s league runners up Al Nassr Benghazi while Kassaga turns out for Al Medina Sports Club.
The 2026/27 Libyan Premier League season will kick off on October 8th 2026 with 28 teams competing in two groups of 14 each.
