Uganda Premier League side Blacks Power will host their remaining home games for the 2026/27 campaign at the Bukedea Comprehensive School Sports Complex.
The development comes after the National Council of Sports (NCS) cancelled Blacks Power FC’s Memorandum of Understanding to use Hoima City Stadium as their home ground for the first round of the 2026/27 season.
Blacks Power stated that NCS confirmed to them that Hoima City Stadium will exclusively be used for international matches.
“The decision follows the National Council of Sports’ cancellation of our Memorandum of Understanding to use the facility as our home ground for the first round of the season, citing the need to reserve the stadium exclusively for international matches.”
Blacks Power will become the second team to use Bukedea Sports Complex as their home ground after Kataka FC who also host their games at the venue.
Following the latest development, the UPL Secretariat has also confirmed adjustments to two upcoming fixtures, with Blacks Power FC vs URA FC now scheduled for Saturday, 24th October 2026 at the BCS Sports Complex, Bukedea at 4PM, while Blacks Power FC vs NEC FC will be played on Saturday, 31st October 2026 at the same venue.
Simon Peter Mugerwa’s Blacks Power is currently eighth on the table with 9 points while the tax collectors are 15th on 4 points.
