FUFA has revealed its projected income and expenditure at the 102nd Annual General Assembly held in Mbarara City on Saturday.
FUFA President Moses Magogo asserted that the increase is due to the recent reforms at CAF and FIFA, where Member Associations are expected to get more funding.
Additionally, with AFCON 2027 coming, the Government of the Republic of Uganda has also increased its funding to the federation.
The Assembly was presented with projected income sources totalling UGX 122.1 billion. These include UGX 24 billion from FIFA, UGX 4.5 billion from CAF subvention, UGX 8 billion from CAF television rights, UGX 74.5 billion from Government, UGX 7.3 billion from partners and sponsors, UGX 3 billion from new revenue streams and UGX 700 million from other sources.
The expenditure forecast stands at UGX 192.4 billion, of which UGX 122.1 billion is prioritised, leaving an unfunded gap of UGX 70.2 billion.
The expenditure priorities include insurance for the FUFA Juniors League and FUFA Academies League, improved training and welfare for referees, increased prize money from UGX 735 million to UGX 1.54 billion, and investment in higher-quality production and distribution of media rights.
Other priority areas include financial support to members, clubs, provinces and District Football Associations (DFAs), improved staff pay and the creation of a National Football Academy.
The projected expenditure allocation places 82 per cent towards sport, 12 per cent towards governance and 6 per cent towards business.
Meanwhile, members approved an increase in the FUFA Executive Committee from 17 to 19 members, with Richard Ochom and Roberts Kiwanuka accepted onto the Executive Committee. The position of Fourth Vice President was also created, with a provision that one of the four Vice Presidents shall be female.
