Uganda Premier League debutants Kataka FC suffered their fifth defeat of the season after falling 4-1 to Maroons FC at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday, 20th October 2026.

The Prison Warders were ruthless in Match Day 7 of the Uganda Premier League, racing into an early lead and never looking back.

Abel Michael Eturude opened the scoring in the 19th minute to give Maroons a deserved halftime advantage.

After the restart, Fred Amaku doubled the lead in the 54th minute before second-half substitutes Darious Ojok and Jackson Nunda put the game beyond Kataka’s reach with goals in the 76th and 82nd minutes respectively.

Latif Senkubuge pulled one back for the Mbale-based side in the closing stages, but it was only a consolation.

The result leaves Maroons in high spirits after a sweet home win, while Kataka continue to endure a tough initiation to life in the top flight, with five losses in seven outings already on their record.

Kataka remains winless in the league and are only on two points while Maroons are sixth with ten points in seven matches.
