Mugerwa’s Blacks Power visit Red-hot SC Villa

Uganda Premier League newcomers Blacks Power FC will be seeking to build on their win over URA FC at the weekend when they face SC Villa on Tuesday.
Blacks Power head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa believes the game is a big test for his side but is optimistic they will put up a fight at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
“This is a great opportunity for us to play against Villa and test ourselves against one of the best. We know how strong they are, especially at home, but we are heading to Wankulukuku with confidence that we can win the game,” Mugerwa said.
Mugerwa’s charges will look up to Michael Siwu and Innocent Maduka for inspiration but will miss the services of of Ivan Okello who was forced off in the win over URA FC with a horrible injury.
Blacks Power have so far managed four wins this term, while SC Villa have five wins and two draws in their seven games played.
SC Villa head coach Zeljko Kovacevic has warned his players against complacency. The Jogoos managed a 2-0 win over Mbarara City in their previous fixture, a performance the Serbian admitted was not convincing.
“We played poorly in the last game but were fortunate to win, and we must improve because Blacks Power is a very good team,” Kovacevic said.
SC Villa will look to their forward line of Frank Ssebuufu and Patrick Jonah Kakande, who have scored six goals between them.
