Derrick Ndahiro’s 18th strike spurred SC Villa to their 6th win of the season and subsequently saw them move up to 3rd on the log.

The Jogoos have now gone 12 games without tasting defeat since that opening day loss to Kyetume FC.

Ambrose Kirya’s strike hit the back of Bright stars’ Ngobi Derrick and the ball fell in Ndahiro’s way who placed on the opposite side of Godwin Buule.

Ndahiro scored in the 18th minute to break Bright stars

SC Villa continued pressing harder for the second goal but chances fell to Faisal Muwawu who failed to compose himself in the dangerous area.

Bright stars had a penalty appeal turned down by center referee Siraje Mpyangu when Joseph Janjali went down on Asuman Harishe’s contact in the penalty area.

Janjali continued to agitate Harishe with swift runs and clever runs down the channels but the gangly defender stood up to challenge.

Janjali was a menace for Villa’s defense all evening

Augustine Kacancu was introduced on for Hamid Gabitte by Mohammed Kisekka to pound more pressure on Harishe and co.

Edward Kaziba countered the move by introducing on steel man Emmanuel Wasswa who took charge of the central midfield perfectly well.

Nicholas Kabonge also came on for Albert Mugisa and Fahad Bardiro was handed his debut.

SC Villa will host BUL FC on Wednesday 13th at Bombo Military grounds, whereas Bright stars will take their survival battle to fellow strugglers Proline at Lugogo on 12th November.
