REPORTS: Taddeo Lwanga destined for Vipers return

Uganda Cranes midfielder Taddeo Lwanga is set to return to Vipers SC as a free agent.

Lwanga has been unemployed since he left Djibouti side Arta Solar whom he had joined after the expiration of his contract at Tanzanian Giants Simba SC.

According to local website Chimpreports, the midfielder has already agreed personal terms with his former paymasters Vipers SC.

During his time at Simba, Lwanga helped the side to a domestic double at the expense of their arch rivals Yanga in 2021.

He scored the all important goal for Simba as they sealed the 2021 Tanzania FA Cup beating Yanga in Final that was held in Kigoma.

Lwanga has also previously featured for Express FC and SC Villa before he joined the Venoms for his first stint.

He has also previously played for Egyptian side Tanta SC whom he joined after the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt.

Vipers have so far released eight players who are Bashir Asiku, Frank Tumwesigye alias Zaga, Olivier Osomba Serge Robert Mwenge, Dissan Galiwango, Ibrahim Orit, Gracia Mpongo Mbombo and Musa Ssali.
