BUL FC reward roving wingback with new three year contract

BUL FC versatile defender Hilary Onek has signed a new three year contract that will keep him at the Jinja based club into 2027.

Onek is a graduate of the club’s Junior Team who got first team promotion in 2021.

The youthful roving wing back can ably play on either flank of the defense and has been a mainstay in selection since his promotion.

“l am excited to extend my stay here,” Onek said after signing the new deal. I came here as a kid and BUL has made me the player I am today.” Onek said after penning a new contract.

He was part of the BUL FC Junior Team that won the 2018/19 FUFA Juniors League after beating KCCA in the final played at Njeru.

He earned promotion to the senior team alongside his former junior team teammates like Reagan Kalyowa, Herbert Onyango, Martin Aprem, Owen Mukisa and Simon Peter Oketch.

He played an integral part in Alex Isabirye’s team that won the 2022 Stanbic Uganda Cup at the expense of Vipers SC.

Onek has pledged more outstanding exploits with the club in the forthcoming season.

“I can assure you that I will commit myself to helping this club to achieve our goals and make the fans proud of this great team.” He said.

“BUL is my home, and a home sweet home that I feel proud of being part of. It’s now time for the hard work to continue and I am looking forward to returning to training and the new season ahead.” He added.

BUL FC have already announced Abbey Bogere Kikomeko as their new head coach while striker Gerald Ogweti was also unveiled as their first signing.
